A cartesian closed subcategory of CONT which contains all continuous domains
نویسنده
چکیده
Let CD be the category of all continuous domains and all mappings which preserve directed sups and the way-below relation. That is, a mapping f : P → Q is a morphism of CD if and only if f(sup D) = sup f(D) for any directed set D ⊂ P and f(x) f(y) if x y for any x, y ∈ P . We shall prove that the category CD is cartesian closed. 1991 Mathematics Subject Classification 06B35.

Cartesian closed stable categories q
The aim of this paper is to establish some Cartesian closed categories which are between the two Cartesian closed categories: SLP (the category of L-domains and stable functions) and DI (the full subcategory of SLP whose objects are all dI-domains). First we show that the exponentials of every full subcategory of SLP are exactly the spaces of stable functions. Then we prove that the full subcat...
متن کاملA Cartesian Closed Extension of the Category of Locales (Preliminary Version)
We present a Cartesian closed category ELoc of equilocales, which contains the category Loc of locales as a reflective full subcategory. The embedding of Loc into ELoc preserves products and all exponentials of exponentiable locales.
متن کاملA characterisation of the least - xed - point operatorby
The paper addresses the question of when the least-xed-point operator, in a cartesian closed category of domains, is characterised as the unique dinatural transformation from the exponentiation bifunctor to the identity functor. We give a suucient condition on a cartesian closed full subcategory of the category of algebraic cpos for the characterisation to hold. The condition is quite mild, and...
متن کاملAll cartesian closed categories of quasicontinuous domains consist of domains
Quasicontinuity is a generalisation of Scott’s notion of continuous domain, introduced in the early 80s by Gierz, Lawson and Stralka. In this paper we ask which cartesian closed full subcategories exist in qCONT, the category of all quasicontinuous domains and Scottcontinuous functions. The surprising, and perhaps disappointing, answer turns out to be that all such subcategories consist entirel...
متن کاملThe Classification of Continuous Domains (Extended Abstract)
The long-standing problem of nding the maximal cartesian closed categories of continuous domains is solved. The solution requires the de nition of a new class of continuous domains, called FS-domains, which contains all retracts of SFPobjects. The properties of FS-domains are discussed in some detail.
